What the wipe actually does is split. PvE is not a forced reset. If you are level 20 or higher you can opt into PVE Rebirth. That trades a reset for Reborn Tokens, which buy enhanced gear the stores do not sell. If you skip the opt-in, your PvE progress stays. PvP is the normal wipe. Stash, traders, hideout, the whole grind. Everyone starts poor again except the people who banked knowledge.
What they listed for the new season is not small. New quest line. HQ rework. Four guns by name: MX338, SES-A2, ASH-12, GP100. The MX338 is the .338 they were dangling on Twitch Drops before this. Map work on Trupiks Mall, North Camp, and Factory. On the systems side they called out reworked M4 and SSR sounds, an ammo penetration rebalance, cheaper HQ upgrades with buffed perks, fewer tasks to progress, and the ability to upgrade more than one merchant at a time. One more line from the same thread: they spent months on the underlying architecture so they can ship content faster, and the next goal is tying the Contractors games into one connected experience. That is not the wipe. That is why this wipe exists.
