A standalone VR mod for Titanfall 2 is officially in development, bringing native virtual reality directly to Respawn’s iconic shooter.
Key Details:
- Native VR & Engine Support: Built directly for Titanfall 2, avoiding generic injection software or sandbox remakes. Includes DLSS support for high frame rates.
- Full Campaign & Cockpits: Play the entire single-player campaign in first-person, featuring high-speed wall-running and scale-accurate Titan cockpits.
- Early 3DoF Aiming: The current early build features 3DoF rotational aiming to get playable builds out faster before full 6DoF hand tracking is rigged for every weapon.
- Release Window: Early alpha access is expected to drop within two to four weeks.
As someone who has spent way too many hours mastering wall-runs and jumping into Titan cockpits, a native Titanfall 2 VR mod is literally the dream.
Honestly, the game was basically built for VR from the ground up. Sitting inside BT-7274’s cockpit with the HUD surrounding your field of view, looking up at a 20-foot mech in actual 1:1 scale—a flat monitor just can’t match that. Plus, VR shines when movement feels fast and fluid. Chaining together slide-hops, grapple-swings, and wall-runs directly in a headset is going to be an absolute adrenaline rush. Since the original campaign never breaks first-person immersion even during Titan entries, doing it in VR is going to feel incredible. We might never get Titanfall 3, but getting to dive back into Respawn’s best campaign like this is huge. Stand by for Titanfall!
